Christian Mailhiot is a Scientist at Sandia National Laboratories in Livermore, CA.  Prior to joining Sandia, he was a Professor at the College of Arts and Sciences and Institute for shock Physics at Washington State University, where he was also the Director for the Center for Integrated Modeling and Simulation. In addition, Dr. Mailhiot had a long and distinguished tenure at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) in various professional positions. Most recently, he served as a Senior Technical Manager in the Physical and Life Sciences (PLS) Directorate. He served as the LLNL Laboratory Program Coordinator for the DOE Office of Science (SC)/Office of Basic Energy Sciences (BES). He worked with the Physical and Life Sciences (PLS) Directorate Leadership Team to develop technical program-responsive and fundamental research efforts.
