Hotel reservations have been made the Hilton Garden Inn in Bethesda, MD. If you need your confirmation number, please contact Morgan Phillips Hoople. The charges for your room will be direct billed to EFree but you will need to present a credit card upon check-in for any incidental charges that you may have.

For those of you who are flying in for the meeting, all three Washington-area airports (IAD, DCA, and BWI) are reasonable choices for travel to GL. DCA is serviced by Metro and you can take the subway directly to the hotel, which is located within walking distance of the Shady Grove Metro Station on the Red Line. If you fly into IAD or BWI, SuperShuttle is the easiest way to get to the hotel from the airport. Please make your own transportation arrangements to get to the hotel from the airport.

Transportation to/from the hotel will be provided for the Tuesday evening Welcome Reception. In order to take the shuttle, please be in front of the Hilton Garden Inn before 6:45pm. There will be two shuttle buses from Moran Transportation waiting to take you to the Geophysical Laboratory. The buses will depart at 6:45pm. They will return you to your hotel at the conclusion of the reception.

Shuttles will also be provided on the morning and evening of September 9 and the morning of September 10.  Please plan on being infront of the hotel before 7:45am each morning. We can assist in making transportation arrangements for you from GL to your airport on the afternoon of the 10th.
