EFree Communications Specialist

The Geophysical Laboratory, Carnegie Institution of Washington, seeks applications for a part-time position of Communications Specialist for its Energy Frontier Research in Extreme Environments (EFree) Center. The main responsibilities in this position will be to prepare content (including both graphics and written text) for the EFree website, designing and writing publications for general outreach (e.g., brochures and event announcements), and assisting the EFree administrative staff with the preparation of scientific reports.

Minimum qualifications:  5 years of experience in scientific publications; background in editing and/or science writing; graphic design, including standard graphic arts software; and a B.A. degree.

The position will require a maximum of 10 hours/week commitment. Salary will depend on level of experience. For an overview of the Center, see our website at https://efree.carnegiescience.edu/.
