Zack Geballe

Postdoc (Carnegie)
Zack Geballe a postdoc at Carnegie  studying melting, near-melting phenomena and the glass transition at high pressures and temperatures. His broader goals are to improve understanding of the Earth's deep interior, and of the physics of melting and amorphization transitions.  He is currently experimenting with electrical methods of heating nanogram-mass samples that are squeezed inside diamond anvil cells.  With EFree, he is working on the Novel Electron Transport in Light Element Materials project.
