SNAP 2015 Workshop

June 8-10, 2015
Oak Ridge National Laboratory

This event will take place this June 8-10th at the ORNL’s Spallation Neutron Source and is aimed primarily at graduate students, post-docs and early career researchers, with interest in high pressure research and that intend to become users at ORNL’s HFIR or SNS sources to perform neutron experiments. This three day event will cover all the aspects of a neutron experiment at SNAP, the SNS’s high pressure diffractometer and will cover topics such as pressure cell selection and setup, sample cell loading, and data reduction and analysis. Participation in the workshop is free, but limited as a result of the hands-on nature of this event. Participants will be chosen from the pool of applicants primarily by the relevance of high pressure neutron research to their scientific interests.
